widely. Cemetery charges can vary, but are regulated by the Ministry of Labour
& Consumer Services The price of memorial markers is not regulated
If you choose to pre-pay funeral, cemetery and memorial cost, ensure
funeral operator or cemetery is registered with Registrar of
Cemeteries, Ministry of Labour & Consumer Services Never sign a
contract without full understanding - it is wise to look at it with a
lawyer, relative or family friend. Any pre-arranged funeral plan
contract can be cancelled up to time of death but,once you buy, you
have no legal rights to cancel cemetery plot or memorial marker except,
if purchased within your home you can cancel within7 days by sending letter to seller. A salesperson may enter your home to sell pre-paid funeral only after receiving written invitation from you 24 hours in advance.
