The CCS Provides limited, short-term financial assistance

towards certain treatment-related items and access to

symptom management drugs through a partnership

with the BC Cancer Agency.

This program helps to defray expenses for patients who

funds. Patients must complete a confidential financial

assessment with a trained emergency aid volunteer.

Hospice is a non-profit organization that provides trained

• life saving program available to all women aged 40 and

over in BC • early detection provides 95% cure rate

• screening involves an x-ray examination for women

with no signs or symptoms of breast disease.

• technique is most accurate and effective method of

detecting breast cancers which may be too small to

be felt. Doctor’s referral not required, this is a free

service funded by Ministry of Health.

Specialized, community based mental health program to

provide assessment, counselling, education & caregiver

support to those over the age of 65 suffering from an

emotional difficulty; depression, grief, loss, dementia,

abuse, etc. A community based service, it allows a
